Description
The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) is now accepting applications for a one-year postgraduate diploma in Metro Rail Technology and Management at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
Students having a BE or BTech degree in civil, electrical, electronics and communication, electrical and electronics, or mechanical engineering with 70% marks and a valid GATE score can apply for the program at careers.chennaimetrorail.org. The registration deadline for the programme is June 29.

The provisional selection is based on a valid GATE score and an interview. The ultimate selection will be based on medical fitness.
Candidates chosen for final selection will be designated as Executive Trainees for a one-year period, with a monthly salary of Rs 30,000, and CMRL will cover the requisite sponsorship and tuition fees for PGDMRTM at IIT M.
After successfully completing the course at IIT Madras, the trainees would be appointed as Assistant Manager on a five-year contract with Chennai Metro Rail Ltd, with a consolidated monthly salary of Rs 62,000.
