Description
These two new undergraduate courses will commence in the 2024-25 academic year, with a starting batch of 30 students each. Students who qualify in the JEE Advanced examination can take up to 10 seats in each discipline, while 20 seats will be allocated based on the merit list of the Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET), a new examination developed by IIT Delhi specifically for the UAE.
Admission Process
The CAET test, which will be conducted by the JEE Office at IIT Delhi, is scheduled for June 23, 2024, in several locations throughout the UAE. The test is intended for UAE inhabitants, including nationals, expats, and international students. The portal is open for registration until June 10, 2024.
Students who qualify for JEE Advanced 2024 can use their rank to apply for admission to IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi via a separate portal accessible on the website following the release of the JEE Advanced results. Seat allocation at IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi will be done using this portal (rather than the JoSAA portal) for students coming from both the JEE Advanced and CAET routes.
All JEE Advanced-qualified students will only be required to pay the fees that apply to their category at the IIT Delhi campus. The remainder of the fees will be waived. In addition, students will get a monthly stipend of AED 2000. All JEE Advanced-qualified students will be eligible for double occupancy hostel housing, with lodging fees refunded and food provided at discounted rates. In addition, all JEE Advanced qualified students would be eligible to an annual payment of AED 4000 to cover travel expenses. Medical insurance and other welfare issues will be effectively addressed.
