The World Health Organization (WHO) has bestowed the Nelson Mandela Award for Health Promotion 2024 to the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) in Bengaluru. NIMHANS is recognized as India's premier mental health facility. This major prize was presented at the 77th World Health Assembly in Geneva.
