Immigration New Zealand (INZ) will introduce a new condition to all applications for guest visas. Now, supporting papers provided with applications must be in English or have certified translations with them if they were written in a language other than English.
Reason For The New Policy
The change is intended to speed up the visa application process by reducing the time required to read documents written in languages other than English. Earlier, the necessity to translate these paperwork within the organization had created delays in the processing of visas.
Documents Required For Translation
Candidates must submit English translations of various supporting documents, including but not limited to: Proof of funds can take the form of bank bills or pay stubs. Flight itineraries and return tickets. documentation that the candidate has a job and documentation of time off from employment in their native country. Identification cards that are not IDs, such as the Hukou for Chinese nationals. To be clear, doctor and police certificates already require translation into English. The policy will not alter.
Certified Translation Requirements
The translations must be completed by a respected translation agency or a member of the community who is known for providing accurate translations and has no connection to the applicant (such as family members or the immigration expert handling their application). INZ will also accept translations from qualified immigration advisers (LIAs), as long as they are known for their accuracy and are not currently working on the same application.
Consequences Of Noncompliance
Applications that do not include the necessary English translations are likely to be rejected unless they meet these standards. This demonstrates how critical it is to ensure that all documents are correctly and officially translated to avoid delays or rejections. This change in INZ policy is intended to speed up and simplify the visa application process by eliminating any language barriers that may arise. Applicants should ensure that they fulfill the new standards so that the visa application process runs smoothly and quickly.
