Description
Shehra Jetha Ahir, a BJP MLA who formerly served as deputy speaker of the Gujarat Assembly, was chosen unopposed as head of the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED). Senior officials said that Ahir won the support of Rajkot MP Mohan Kundariya to become NAFED chairman in the election held in Delhi on May 28.

Ahir's appointment as NAFED chairman was unanimous among the board's 21 directors, two of whom are from Gujarat, including Kundariya. Notably, Ahir serves as the chairman of Panchmahal's Pancharmrut Dairy and the Panchmahal District Cooperative (PDC) Bank.
