Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) achieved a key milestone by delivering its first shipment of 100 octane premium fuel, XP100, to Sri Lanka. The high-quality fuel, designed for premium high-end vehicles, was delivered by the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust in Mumbai. Flagging Off The Shipment
V. Satish Kumar, Director (Marketing) of Indian Oil, flagged off the inaugural shipment at the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) in Nava Sheva, Navi Mumbai. Mr. Kumar stressed the significance of this milestone, stating that this is Indian Oil's third product exported, demonstrating the company's ability to produce high-quality products globally.

Mr. Sujoy Choudhary, Director (Planning & Business Development) and Chairman of Lanka IOC, termed the event as historic and emphasized the promotional initiatives in place to ensure the product's visibility and acceptability in the Sri Lankan marketplace. Notable attendees were Mr. Girish Thomas, JNPA's GM (Traffic), as well as the Lanka IOC team, IndianOil personnel, and port authorities.
About XP100
XP100, India's first 100-octane gasoline, is based on IndianOil's own Octamax technology. It is designed for high-end automobiles and has exceptional anti-knock qualities, which improve engine performance, accelerate faster, drive smoother, and increase fuel efficiency. The innovative formulation of XP100 lowers engine deposits and pollutants in high compression ratio engines, improving vehicle performance and lifetime while requiring less maintenance. XP100 exceeds IS-2796 requirements and is an environmentally friendly fuel with significantly lower tailpipe emissions.

Lanka IOC (LIOC), a subsidiary of IndianOil in Sri Lanka, is the sole private oil firm that manages retail locations in the country. It was established in 2003 and has since grown to become one of Sri Lanka's largest publicly traded enterprises. LIOC has a large network of petrol and diesel stations, as well as an extremely effective lubricant marketing network. Major facilities include an oil terminal, a lubricant mixing plant in Trincomalee, and a fuel and lubricant testing laboratory.
