IGNOU Invites Applications For 4-Year, ODL Bachelor Course In Journalism And Digital Media

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is accepting applications for a Bachelor of Journalism and Digital Media, a new Four Year Undergraduate Program (FYUP).

BA Journalism and Digital Media, a four-year bachelor's curriculum, focuses on digital journalism, news reporting and editing, digital photography, audiovisual production, podcasting, internet research, data journalism, and news portal design.

The School of Journalism and New Media Studies at IGNOU offers an English-medium programme in key areas and centres. Candidates should go to IGNOU's official website, to find out about regional and study center locations.

The IGNOU website (ignouiop.samarth.edu.in) offers admission applications for the ODL program until June 30. 

Eligibility

• Candidates must have completed 10+2 or have other comparable qualifications.

• There is no age requirement for participation in the programme.

• The School of Journalism and New Media Studies at IGNOU offers an English-medium programme in key areas and centres. Candidates should go to IGNOU's official website, to find out about regional and study center locations.

• The IGNOU website (ignouiop.samarth.edu.in) offers admission applications for the ODL program until June 30. 

This FYUP programme was created under the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and offers students the option of pursuing a three-year or four-year honours study with or without research.

According to the official website, the annual course fee is Rs.10,600, with additional registration and development fees payable.

The curriculum will offer a total of 160 credits, with each semester consisting of 20 credits and the program lasting 8 semesters. Candidates have up to eight years to complete the bachelor's programme in Journalism and Digital Media, and more information may be found on the official website.
