TBSE Class 10th and 12th results 2024 will be announced in the latter week of May

Following the declaration of Class 10 and 12 results by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) plans to announce Class 10 and 12 board examination results by the last week of May.

The Class 12 or higher secondary examinations began on March 1 and continued until March 30, while the Class 10 examinations began on March 2 and ended on March 23.

This year, around 33,000 Class 10 students and 23,700 Class 12 students appeared in the board examinations. This year, the TBSE established 69 centers and 144 venues for Class 10 board exams, as well as another 60 centres and 98 venues for Class 12 exams.

" Evaluation of answer scripts of both Class 10 and 12 was already done. Now, post-evaluation processes are going on. We expect to announce board results by the last week of May", said TBSE president Dhananjoy Ganchowdhury.

In 2023, 43,730 candidates sat for Class 10 board exams, while 38,125 sat for Class 12. This year, the number of board candidates has decreased as more schools have implemented Vidyajyoti. Earlier this February, the state saw widespread protests over the Kokborok script row after the TBSE instructed all examination center in-charges to allow only Bengali script for writing Kokborok language papers in Class 10 and 12 board examinations due to a lack of qualified evaluators to check answer copies written in Roman script.

Later, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sushanta Chowdhury permitted students to appear for exams in their favorite script. The bulk of the state's tribal people speaks Kokborok as their primary language.
