Dr. BR Ambedkar University, Delhi (AUD) has launched a Master of Arts (MA) curriculum in public policy and governance for the academic year 2024-25. The new degree offers 60 places, and admissions will be based on the National Testing Agency's Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Anu Singh Lather, Vice Chancellor of AUD, stated at a news conference that roughly 3,09,237 students applied for undergraduate courses through CUET this year, with 89,773 showing interest in postgraduate studies.
According to Lather, Ambedkar University in Delhi is ranked seventh among the top 10 universities in the country, with 85 percent of seats allocated for Delhi students and the remaining 15 percent for students from outside Delhi.
During the brochure launch for undergraduate and postgraduate admissions, Lather said: “From this time onwards, a provision for the reservation of one seat under the orphan quota has also been made in each programme. The entire fee will be waived for students taking admission under this category.”

Under the MRF plan for research scholars, the University has included a condition that merit holders will get an allowance comparable to the University Grant Commission's (UGC) Junior Research Fellowship. Aside from JRF at the University, research researchers without NET will receive a monthly allowance of Rs 16,000.
Ambedkar University now offers 18 undergraduate and 27 postgraduate programs for admission. This year, admissions will be made to a total of 2,595 seats in all of these programs, including 1,141 for undergraduates and 1454 for graduate students. The vice chancellor also stated that admissions to PhD programs (23 in all) will be made in June based only on CUET.
