Description
The National Testing Agency has decided to postpone the UGC-NET examinations for 2024 from June 16 to June 18. UGC Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar told us of this.
Taking to microblogging site X (previously Twitter), the UGC Chairman stated that the decision was made after considering applicant comments. An formal announcement will be issued in this regard.
He wrote, “The National Testing Agency and UGC have decided to shift the UGC-NET from 16 June (Sunday) to 18 June 2024 (Tuesday) because of feedback received from candidates. NTA will conduct UGC-NET in OMR mode across India on a single day. NTA will soon issue a formal notification.”

Notably, the UGC-NET exam would only be held in OMR mode, with question papers in English and Hindi, with the exception of language papers.
Furthermore, the test will be divided into two papers, each with objective-type, multiple-choice questions. There will be no breaks between papers. Each paper has a 3-hour exam period.
