Description
The deadline for applying to the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM 2024) has been extended. Students interested in master's and PhD programs offered by IITs can apply until April 29 by visiting the official website. To register, candidates must pay an application fee of Rupees 750.
JAM 2024 offers admission to a variety of postgraduate programs, including MSc, MSc(Tech), Joint MSc-PhD, MSc-MTech dual degree, and MSc-PhD dual degree. JAM 2024 plans to fill 3,000 seats in 89 postgraduate programs at 21 IITs during the academic year 2024-25. The exam is being conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras).
IIT Madras has announced the withdrawal of the joint MSc-PhD program in Chemical and Molecular Biology, which was previously provided by IIT Kharagpur, from JAM 2024. In addition to IITs, about 2,000 seats at the Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru (IISc) will be filled.
The initial admission list for JAM 2024 is set to be issued on May 31, with candidates having until June 4 to pay for seat reservations. The second admission list will be issued on June 12.
Fees Details
Students must pay the seat booking fee of Rupees 15,000 for the General/OBC-NCL/EWS category and Rupees 7,500 for the SC/ST/PwD category online within the prescribed window after accepting the offer.
