Description
Justice Aniruddha Bose, recognized for his cerebral prowess and sartorial grace, retired from the Supreme Court after a five-year term. Justice Bose, praised by Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud and other legal luminaries for his sense of justice, compassion, and gentlemanly manner, has been nominated to lead the National Judicial Academy in Bhopal.
About Justice Aniruddha Bose
After graduating from St. Xavier's College and Surendranath Law College, he became an advocate in the Calcutta High Court in 1985, then a permanent judge in 2004 and Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court in 2018. Justice Bose is one of four Supreme Court justices slated to retire this year, along with Justice Ajjikuttira Somaiah Bopanna, Justice Hima Kohli, and Chief Justice of India Chandrachud. Justice Sanjiv Khanna is slated to become the 51st Chief Justice of India on November 11.
