KEA Issued Notification: Candidates Who Have Opted Only NEET UG Will Not Be Issued Hall Tickets

Description

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) announced on Monday that KCET students who choose solely UGNEET will not receive hall tickets because their admissions will be based on the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET UG).

In a notification, the KEA said, “For UGCET 2024, CET Admit Card will not be downloaded for candidates who have selected only UGNEET. Such candidates are eligible to participate in NEET Seat Allotment (Medical/Dental/AYUSH),

The KCET exam is administered for admission to Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy programs. In addition to administering the single entrance examination, the KEA is also in charge of providing a common counselling session for admission to these courses.

Aside from engineering, agriculture, and pharmacy counseling, the KEA handles the admission process for undergraduate medical seats under Karnataka's state quota, with NEET serving as the sole entrance examination for UG medical courses.

As a result, students who have exclusively chosen medical courses do not need to take the KCET entrance examination and can proceed directly to the counselling procedure using their NEET 2024 scores.

The KCET for Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy courses is planned on April 18 and 19, with the Kannada Language Test taking place on April 20. Hall Tickets for the examination have been released at kea.kar.nic.in and cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea.
