Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched Piped Natural Gas (PNG) facilities in 41 villages and several development initiatives in 178 villages under the 'Dilli Gramodaya Abhiyan'. The initiative attempts to improve infrastructure and living standards in rural Delhi.

The Dilli Gramodaya Abhiyan has a Rs 960 crore fund for developing infrastructure in Delhi's urbanized villages and emerging urban regions.
During the current fiscal year, projects worth Rs 383 crore have been sanctioned in several villages throughout Delhi.
Objectives Of The Abhiyan
Improve the quality of life by closing infrastructural gaps and providing civic facilities.
Encourage robust community participation in decision-making processes.
Ensure equal access to community resources and opportunities.
Projects Undertaken
Construction and enhancement of roads, sewers, pathways, and center verges.
Sewage treatment plants, rainfall gathering, and park construction.
Promotion of gardening, community libraries, and sports facilities.
PNG Supply For Rural Areas
PNG supply began in 41 villages via a 100-kilometer pipeline network at a cost of Rs 20 crore by Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL).
Aim to provide safe, cheap, and environmentally responsible energy solutions in rural communities.
IGL's Reach In Delhiq3
IGL has an 11,000-kilometer pipeline network that connects 1.5 million households in Delhi.
Expansion of the network to include remote areas to provide more access to PNG.
