• Bichom district was launched by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, who also lay the foundation stone for its headquarters in Napangphung.

Legislative Support

• The Arunachal Pradesh (Re-Organisation of Districts) (Amendment) Bill, 2024, was enacted by the state assembly in February, allowing the districts of Bichom and Keyi Panyor to be created.

Territorial Composition

• Bichom district includes 27 settlements from West Kameng and 28 from East Kameng, which contributed to its development.

• The Chief Minister flagged off automobiles supplied to self-help organizations through the Arunachal Grameen Express Yojana.
