Description
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras invites applications for its summer fellowship program. Interested candidates can apply for the fellowship program at IIT Madras' official website. Candidates will have until 5:00 pm on March 31 to apply for the IIT Madras summer fellowship programme.
This summer fellowship from IIT Madras is a two-month program that will begin on May 22 and end on July 21, 2024. However, according to an official statement from the institute, the schedule may be flexible to suit the convenience of the candidates.
Eligibility And Stipend
All selected candidates will receive a stipend of Rupees 6000 per month for up to two months.
IIT candidates are ineligible to apply for this summer fellowship programme.
Candidates pursuing a third year of BE/BTech/BSc (Engineering) or third or fourth year of Integrated ME/MTech program, first year of ME/MTech/MSc/MA, MBA with outstanding academic background in terms of high ranks in university examinations are encouraged to apply, highlighting their academic performance and achievement, including papers presented at seminars, projects executed, design contests participated, score/rank in Mathematics Olympiad and any other awards.
The following engineering departments will be participating part in this summer fellowship program: Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mechanics and Biomedical Engineering, Bio Technology, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Engineering Design, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Science and Technology, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, and Ocean Engineering.
