Description
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Hyderabad, has opened applications for its summer internship program, Undergraduate Research Exposure (SURE). The programme's goal is to provide eligible students with a comprehensive research experience while encouraging innovation and academic excellence.
Details About Internship
The Number Of Intake
There will be 200 interns in total, with 50 reserved specifically for female students.
Duration
The internship will last 1-2 months, tentatively from May 15, 2024 to July 14, 2024.
Accommodation And Meals
Students can stay in hostels. Interns are responsible for paying mess fees.
The Amount Of The Fellowship
For two months, each intern will receive Rupees 15,000 in total.
Interns are paid Rupees 7,500 per month or Rupees 10,000 for one and a half months.
Interns have three options: one month, one and a half months, or the full two months.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must fulfill the following criteria-
First-year MSc (Maths/Physics/Chemistry/Biology) or MA first year
Second/third-year BTe/BDes (all branches)
3rd/4th Year Integrated BTech and MTech Program
Among the top 20% of all previous years' CGPA/% score, as certified by the institute's head/principal at the time of application.
Full-time/regular student at the time of application and during the internship.
Able to work full-time for the internship (at least one month).
Part-time/online internships are not permitted.
The Selection Process
The selection process includes the following-
Applications are screened at the preliminary stage.
Online interviews by department/mentor faculty, at the discretion of the concerned department.
Selection is based on academic performance, extracurricular achievements, and interview performance.

Selected students will be contacted via email. The final list of selected interns will also be available on the website (SRC Office web page, News/Announcement section).
