Description
Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the groundwork for an All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rewari, Haryana. The Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) funded the establishment of a prominent healthcare hub that provides a variety of essential services.
The new AIIMS in Haryana will span 210 acres and cost an estimated Rupees 1650 crore to build. The hospital's mission is to provide comprehensive, high-quality, and holistic tertiary-care health services to residents of Haryana. Furthermore, the Prime Minister launched a number of development projects worth more than Rupees 9,750 crore in the state's urban transportation, health, rail, and tourism sectors.
Facilities Available At AIIMS Rewari
The AIIMS Rewari hospital complex will have 720 beds, a medical college with 100 seats, and a nursing college with 60 seats. Furthermore, the hospital will have an AYUSH block with 30 beds to meet the patients' alternative medicine needs. AIIMS Haryana will also provide housing for faculty and staff. There will also be hostels for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Other basic amenities include a night shelter and a guesthouse for the comfort and convenience of patients and visitors alike. AIIMS-Rewari will focus on 18 medical specialties and 17 super specialties, including cardiology, gastroenterology, nephrology, urology, neurology, neurosurgery, medical oncology, surgical oncology, endocrinology, burns, and plastic surgery. AIIMS will also have 16 modular operating theatres, cutting-edge diagnostic laboratories, and a fully equipped blood bank.
AIIMS-Rewari aims to provide high-quality healthcare services that meet the diverse needs of its patients. According to data, the cabinet approved the establishment of an AIIMS in Manethi village, Rewari district, for Rupees 1,299 crore, in February 2019.
