In a momentous development for the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC), Mr Sanjay Kumar Jain, an outstanding Indian Railway Traffic Services (IRTS) Officer from the 1990 batch, has been appointed Chairman and Managing Director. During his time as Group General Manager at IRCTC, Mr. Jain led revolutionary efforts that transformed luxury travel experiences, such as improving the Maharajas' Express and establishing India's first 'Executive Lounge' at New Delhi Railway Station. Under his leadership, IRCTC's tourism business in the North Zone expanded exponentially, demonstrating his strategic vision and inventive marketing tactics.

As Divisional Railway Manager in Mumbai, Mr. Jain displayed excellent leadership in operating one of the largest suburban railway networks, which serves millions of commuters every day.
