Assam's state government has formally recognized kaji nemu (Citrus limon), a lemon cultivar indigenous to the region, as the 'State Fruit'. State Agriculture Minister Atul Bora made the statement after a Cabinet meeting on February 12, emphasizing the fruit's cultural, traditional, and nutritional value to the state and its people.
