The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) and the University of Queensland (UQ) will collaborate to offer a joint PhD program to support scholars from various disciplines through the UQ-IITD Academy of Research (UQIDAR). Applications are currently open and will remain so until March 15, 2024.
UQIDAR intends to train a large number of students through a joint PhD program, with supervision provided by professors from both UQ and IIT Delhi. Students will be given the opportunity to study in both India and Australia. Indian and international students, except Australian citizens, will be considered for admission as i-students. I-students will start their studies at IITD for the first year before continuing for one or more years at UQ. They will then complete the rest of their studies at IITD.
Australian domestic applicants will be considered for admission as q-students. Q-students will start their studies at UQ for the first year before continuing for one or more years at IITD. They will then complete their remaining studies at UQ. Indian nationals and international students, excluding Australian citizens, will be eligible to receive scholarships as i-students.
