Champai Soren has been appointed as the sixth Chief Minister from Jharkhand's Kolhan area. The Jharkhand Assembly has 81 members, with 47 MLAs representing the dominant alliance: 29 from the JMM, 17 from the Congress, and one from the RJD. Furthermore, the BJP and AJSU have 26 and three MLAs, respectively, while the NCP and CPI (ML) each have one MLA, and two members are independent.
