The Haryana state government has announced school holidays for students in class 1 to 5. The schools will be closed until January 27, 2024. Due to the extreme cold weather in the state, the government and private schools have decided to extend the school holidays. However, the notification states that both teaching and non-teaching staff will continue to attend school as usual. All the parents and students can contact the school administer or can visit the official website.
Haryana State Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gujar stated that the decision was made in light of the unusually cold weather conditions. Haryana schools reopened on January 23, 2024, after a 22-day holiday, but they have since been closed again due to the state's intense cold wave.
