This development comes after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) issued an Invitation to Tender (ITT) for Title Sponsorship Rights in late December 2023.

Tata Group initially replaced Chinese smartphone maker Vivo as the IPL title sponsor in 2022 and 2023, contributing INR 365 crore each season.
