Description
The District Basic Education Officer has declared two days of holiday for students in class upto 8. Due to the cold wave and bad weather, Varanasi schools will be closed on January 16 and 17, 2024. Students and parents can contact the school administration if they have any questions or are confused.
During this time, teachers and other school employees will run the cleanliness campaign by donating their labor. The order also stated that the dirt should not be visible anywhere in the school.
IMD Predicts Foggy Days Until January 18
Varanasi is currently experiencing a cold temperature of 13 degrees Celsius on January 16. The maximum temperature for the day is expected to be around 17°C, with a minimum of 7°C. According to the IMD Prediction, the district will continue to experience foggy days until January 18, 2024.
Noida, Greater Noida Schools Closed Until January 16
In other winter vacation 2024 news, based on instructions from Gautam Buddha Nagar DM Maneesh Kumar Verma, the Basic Education Minister has declared holidays in Noida and Greater Noida schools from nursery to class 8 until January 16, 2024.
Dharmveer Singh, the District Inspector of Schools, has issued a separate order specifying school hours for students in class 9 to 12. The classes will now run from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Punjab School Holiday Announced Until January 21
The state government has extended the Punjab school winter vacation 2024 upto class 5. Due to the cold and harsh weather, schools will be closed until January 21, 2024. Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains stated that regular classes for students in class 6 to 12 are scheduled to take between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.
