Description
The MSME Ministry's Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) scheme recently reached the 1 lakh certification milestone.
About The Zero Defect Zero Effect Design (ZED)
The ZED scheme, which was launched in October 2016 and will be revamped in April 2022, offers certification for environmentally conscious manufacturing at three certification levels (gold, silver, and bronze) based on 20 performance-based parameters such as quality management, timely delivery, process control, waste management, and so on.
The primary goals of the ZED Scheme are as follows-
To raise MSMEs' understanding of ZED manufacturing and encourage them to analyze their business for a ZED grade.
To promote manufacturing by implementing Zero-Defect production procedures that have no negative influence on the environment (Zero Effect).
To encourage MSMEs to consistently improve their product and process quality standards.
To assist with the "Make in India" program.
Currently, the initiative is exclusively available to manufacturing MSMEs.
After registering and adopting the ZED Pledge, you can obtain MSME Sustainable (ZED) Certification at three levels-
Level 1 Certification BRONZE
Level 2 Certification SILVER
Level 3 Certification GOLD
