The newly established board's principal goal is to expedite the selection process for qualified persons, first focused on public sector units under the Department of Industries and Commerce. The board will first oversee the selection process for various posts in the Department of Industry and Commerce's 20 public sector entities. Notably, it has already completed the selection of managing directors for 12 public sector organizations, including responsibility for contractual appointments lasting more than a year. The completion of these nominations is a significant step toward meeting the board's objectives.
Expanded Scope And Future Plans
The board's responsibilities expand beyond the initial 20 institutions to include the selection of managing directors in a total of 22 public sector institutions. This entails supervising the selection of managing directors in 12 public sector organizations. Furthermore, the board's responsibilities include overseeing long-term contractual appointments in public sector institutions.
