Description

The Ayodhya Ram Temple, one of India's greatest post-independence temples, mixes modern technology amenities with old Indian customs. Chief architect Chandrakant Bhai Sompura constructed the temple in the Nagara style using Vastu Shastra principles. The eastern entrance is designed in the Gopuram style, which is reminiscent of southern temples. The walls are covered with artwork depicting Lord Ram's life.

The Consecration Ceremony Of Ayodhya Ram Mandir

The consecration of the Ayodhya Ram Temple is scheduled for January 22, 2024, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat due to speak. There will be approximately 8,000 invitees, including 1,500-1,600 distinguished guests.

Former prime ministers, national party leaders, Sonia Gandhi, Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, the Dalai Lama, and notable actors have all been invited. PM Modi's schedule includes the inauguration of the reconstructed Ayodhya railway station, a new airport, and a rally. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust spent Rs 900 crore to build the temple.

Location Of Ayodhya Ram Mandir

The temple is located in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, on the 2.77 acres of disputed property recognized by the Supreme Court as Lord Ram's birthplace. The Ayodhya Airport makes air travel convenient, and the city is well-connected by road and rail.

The temple complex spans approximately 2.7 acres of land and is 54,700 square feet. The entire Ram Mandir Complex, which spans about 70 acres, can accommodate approximately a million devotees at any given moment.

Ayodhya Ram Mandir - Height

The temple measures 360 feet long, 235 feet broad, and 161 feet tall. It towers over existing structures in the old city by three stories. The edifice consists of five domes and a tower with a Garbh Griha (sanctum) designed to allow sunlight to fall on Ram Lalla's idol.

  • Over 50,000 people attend the temple every day, with 100,000 expected following the inauguration.
