Description
Due to Cyclone Michaung, Tamil Nadu has postponed the half-yearly exam 2024 for the districts of Chennai, Chengalpattu, Thiruvallur, and Kancheepuram. However,the half-yearly exams scheduled to begin on December 7, 2023, will be held as scheduled in other districts.
Schools in the aforementioned districts where the half-yearly exams have been postponed can conduct the exams as needed and provide students with separate question papers.
The TN Class 12 half-yearly language papers will be held on December 14, 2023, and the English exam, which was scheduled for December 8, 2023, will be held on December 20, 2023, according to the revised dates. The half-yearly exams for students in class 6 - 11 have not been postponed. After reviewing the state's situation, the education department is expected to announce the half-yearly exams.
Cyclone Michaung has caused flooding and waterlogging in Tamil Nadu over the last few days. The Cyclone had the greatest impact on Chennai, Tiruvallur, Chengalpet, and Kancheepuram. Schools in these districts have been closed for several days due to heavy rain and flooding.
