According to the most recent updates, schools and colleges in Puducherry, Karaikal, Kalaiselvi, Kanchipuram, Chennai, Chengalpet, and Thiruvallore are closed on December 5,2023. AP SCHOOL HOLIDAY HAS BEEN DECLARED
The state government of Andhra Pradesh has declared a school holiday in the NTR and Krisha districts. The holiday has been declared for on December 5, 2023, as a result of Cyclone Michaung. NTR District Collector S Dilli Rao made the announcement.

The Tamil Nadu government has declared a public holiday on December 4. Due to the impending cyclone, the state government has directed private companies and other offices to allow employees to work from home or operate with fewer employees. In addition, due to heavy rain, several flights at Chennai International Airport were cancelled and others were diverted.
