Every year on November 11, 2023, India observes National Education Day to celebrate the birth anniversary of Independent India's first Education Minister, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad. On November 10, 2023, IIT Bombay (Indian Institute of Technology) will observe National Education Day.

The ceremonies began at 3:00 pm at the Professor B. Nag Auditorium on the VMCC campus. Dr. N. Kalaiselvi, Director General of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research and Secretary of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, was the event's Chief Guest.

Prestigious Awards Granted To IITB Faculty Members

Meanwhile, the IITB has organized a faculty award celebration. They bestowed important honors to the faculty, including Research Dissemination honors 2022, Research Publication Awards 2022, Professor Krithi Ramamritham Award for Creative Research 2022, and Early Research Achiever Awards 2022.

Every research award includes a citation and a cash prize of Rupees 5000, as well as a Rupees 5 lakh internal research prize. The Professor Krithi Ramamritham Award includes a monetary prize of one lakh rupees as well as a citation. Every year on National Education Day, an award ceremony is organized to recognize faculty members' achievements.
