Due to increased air pollution in the city, Delhi University's winter break has been moved up

Due to the national capital's catastrophic air pollution, the Delhi University has scheduled an early winter holiday. According to the official statement, the college will be closed from November 13 to November 19, 2023. 

The Delhi University winter break 2023, which is usually granted in December, has been preponed due to the GRAP-IV measures being implemented in response to the continuous air pollution in Delhi.

The exam dates for UG and PG courses beginning on December 20 and January 8, 2024 have also been changed by the authorities. The exam schedule for all programs will be announced soon.  

Exams for SOL students, on the other hand, will be held on schedule. Previously, UG examinations were scheduled for December 13, with PG exams beginning on January 1.

Delhi School Winter Vacations 2023

Meanwhile, in response to rising air pollution, the Delhi government has proclaimed a winter holiday for schools. The schools will be closed from November 9 to November 18, 2023. Winter vacations are often announced between December and January. 

Due to pollution, all classes in Delhi will be canceled, with the exception of children in grades 10 and 12, who will attend online. It should be noted that the holiday has been changed to coincide with winter break in order to ensure that students are not impacted by the previously announced vacation.

For the previous three days, Delhi's air quality index has been classified as "severe." Only a slight improvement was seen earlier this week, but the situation has deteriorated again. The AQI has reached 999 in Anand Vihar, while other places are still under severe situation.
