Description

The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) for Assistant Professorship 2023 has been postponed by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). According to the announcement, the exam would be held provisionally on December 31 at kea.kar.nic.in and cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea.

The exam had previously been set on November 26. The exact reason for the exam's postponement has not been made public. 

Candidates must have obtained at least 55% (without rounding off) in their Master's degree or equivalent examination (or 50% for SC, ST, PwD, OBC, and Transgender categories).

Candidates studying a Master's degree (first or second semester) or an equivalent course, as well as those who have appeared in their Master's degree final year exam or whose exams have been postponed, are eligible to apply. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally, and after qualifying, eligibility certificates will be provided only upon presentation of Master's degree pass certificates. 

The exam will consist of two papers. Paper 1 will consist of 50 compulsory questions worth 100 marks, to be answered in one hour from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Paper 2 will consist of 100 questions for 200 marks, which must be answered in two hours, from 12 pm to 2:00 pm.
