Description

The Delhi government has scheduled a winter break for the capital city's schools. Schools in Delhi will be closed from November 9 to November 18, 2023.

In Delhi, the winter vacation is normally arranged during the months of December and January. However, due to rising pollution levels in the city, a previous order was made for schools to close for winter break.

Due to the high levels of pollution in Delhi, schools will be closed for all courses except for classes 10 and 12, which will be held online. It should also be highlighted that in order to ensure that students are not impacted by the announced holiday, the holiday has been combined with the winter break.

The Delhi Air Quality Index has been classed as'severe' for the last few days. Smog conditions improved slightly earlier this week, but the situation has deteriorated again, with the AQI reaching 999 in Anand Vihar while other parts of Delhi remain in'severe' condition.

Schools In Noida Closed Until November 10

Due to the bad air quality, schools in the Noida Gautam Budha Nagar area have been forced to follow the Graded Responses Action Plan Stage 4 issued. Physical sessions from pre-school to class 9 have been canceled, and schools will now operate entirely online.
