The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has issued recommendations for students appearing in the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET). The exam is set to take place on November 4, 2023. The institute will offer another exam session on January 6, 2024.
Here are the guidelines provided by the institute for students to follow when appearing in the exam-
The Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) will be administered remotely rather than at a test center. Candidates may take the CSEET at home using their own laptop or desktop computer. However, mobile phones, tablets, and palmtops are not permitted in the exams. Students will be evaluated on a regular basis.
The entrance examination lasts two hours. Each paper in the computer-based CSEET in the MCQ pattern has four portions of 50 marks each. Business Communication, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning, Economic and Business Environment and Current Affairs, and Quantitative Aptitude are among the topics covered.
Candidates must keep their admit card, government-issued identity card, passport, driving license, PAN Card, UID Aadhaar Card, and Voter Card accessible for verification by remote proctors in order to secure their appearance in the test.
Students will be asked to download, install, and check Safe Exam Browser, SEBLite on their desktop or laptop prior to directed to the CSEET. SEBLite will not be uninstalled until CSEET has been successfully completed/submitted. If a candidate is unable to download the Safe Exam Browser for any reason, he or she will be unable to begin the test, and no questions will be answered in this regard.
Candidates must log in to the test portal 30 minutes before the start time stated for the test. No candidate shall be permitted to appear in the test after the completion of 15 minutes from the start of the test, and no candidate shall be permitted to complete the exam until the expiry of 90 minutes from the start of the exam.
To pass the CSEET, candidates must obtain at least 40% marks in each paper, i.e., Paper-1, Paper-2, Paper-3, and Paper-4 separately, and 50% marks in the aggregate of all papers taken together. There will be no negative grading for incorrect responses.
