Description
The Annie Besant College Teacher Exchange Programme has been launched by the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) as part of the Ministry of Education's Institution of Eminence Scheme. Selected teachers will have access to BHU's advanced facilities, such as cutting-edge research centers, technologically equipped laboratories, and huge libraries, as part of this program. The program aims to improve teachers' academic, research, and professional development. Faculty members selected for this program will be paid and given allowances in accordance with the government's deputation rules.

Professor Sudhir Kumar Jain, vice-chancellor of BHU, has stated that the Annie Besant College Teacher Exchange Programme intends to promote the university's collaborative work culture and make BHU's projects more accessible to a broader part of society.
The BHU program honors Annie Besant's lifelong commitment to education. This program is named after Dr. Annie Besant, an Indian freedom warrior and supporter for a strong education system.
In 1898, Dr. Annie Besant established the Central Hindu School, which was later transferred to the founding committee of Kashi Hindu University.
