Six new online postgraduate programs have been introduced by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. Registration for these programs will be available until October 31.
GATE scores would not be required for admission to these online programs at IIT Kanpur. Interested candidates can apply until October 31 on the official website, and classes will begin in January 2024.
While the Department of Management Sciences will run three of the new online PG programs - Data Science and Business Analytics, Financial Technology and Management, and Power Sector Regulation, Economics, and Management - the Department of Economics will launch the eMasters degrees in Business Finance, Financial Analysis, and Public Policy.
The new eMasters cohorts at IIT Kanpur have been created to meet the industry's requirement for competent employees to drive these transdormations.
According to an IIT Kanpur release, the executive-friendly eMasters degree programs can be pursued without interrupting professional careers. These online PG programs offer flexibility in completion time, ranging from one to three years.
Candidates in these new online PG degree programs can benefit from a credit transfer facility that permits them to transfer up to 60 credits for advanced education (MTech/PhD) at IIT Kanpur. Candidates will also have access to the IIT Kanpur placement cell, incubation cell, and alumni network.
