Description
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the deadline for completing the face authentication procedure for the certificate course in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection (FAFD).
Important Dates
The certificate course's online Assessment Test (AT) will be held on October 28, 2023. On October 25, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, a mock test will be held. Interested candidates should complete the face authentication process on the official website by October 23 at 5:30 pm. The assessment test registration period will commence on October 3, 2023.
Candidates must have an active ICAI membership number in order to take the certificate course. They must have received at least 50% in module tests and project work, as well as 90% attendance in professional training. Candidates must also have an active login to the ICAI's digital learning hub.
Candidates who reappear in the assessment test must pay a fee of Rupees 590. This fee is applied to members who previously given the assessment test but were unable to pass it. There is no fee for candidates who are appearing for the exam for the first time.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India's council has launched a certificate programme in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection to address the growing amount of financial frauds. Because of the rise in cybercrime and fraud detection, the specialty course is in high demand. The training teaches accounting, auditing, data mining tools, and investigative skills to professionals in order to detect fraud/errors.
The course will take seven days to complete. The program fee will be Rupees 14,000 + 18% GST. Modules on Business Fraud, Discussion on types of red flags, types of fraud situations, Case studies, Data Analytics using MS Excel and CAAT Tools (IDEA), Digital Forensics and Cyber Law Introduction to Cyber Crime and International Guidance to Cyber Forensics Laws, Forensic Accounting and Investigation Standards (FAIS) will be included in the course structure.
