Description
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has formed an indirect partnership with Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Company, popularly known as Kotak Mutual Fund, to promote financial literacy to students and teachers. As part of the mission, the two organizations want to launch the 'Seekho Paiso ki Bhasha' investor education and awareness project.
The mission's goal is to educate and increase awareness among about 75,000 educators, the majority of whom are women. The project intends to contribute to the country's path to a possibly prosperous future through educating and empowering teachers.
The idea will go live once a complete set of financial education and awareness programs are held in India's most distant regions.
Between September and October 2023, the relocation will host around 1,000 financial literacy programs. These programs will be held in over 100 locations, ensuring that teachers from all over the country may participate. After the program is completed, Kotak Mutual Fund would have educated over 75,000 CBSE teachers, with half of them being female educators.
Kotak Mutual Fund has hired over 500 qualified trainers from the Centre for Investment Education and Learning (CIEL) as part of this program. These trainers will monitor and ensure that the program maintains a high level of quality and relevance.
