IIT Kanpur has launched four new online postgraduate programs in climate finance and sustainability, renewable energy and e-mobility, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and digital business leadership. GATE scores will not be considered for admission to these programs. Applications for the first session, which will take place in January, have begun and will be accepted through October 31. Candidates should apply online on the official website.
There will also be new sessions for existing eMasters programs. New cohorts in Data Science and Business Analytics, Financial Technology and Management, Business Finance, Financial Analysis, Public Policy, Next Generation Wireless Technologies, Cyber Security, and Power Sector Regulation, Economics, and Management are now accepting applications.
The Climate Finance and Sustainability program at IIT Kanpur aims to provide a wide overview of financial methods and sustainable efforts, whilst the Renewable Energy and e-Mobility program would cater to the developing alternative energy sector.
The Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning program will train professionals to be adept in a constantly expanding industry, while the Business Leadership in Digital Age program will train professionals in modern business dynamics.
The new IIT Kanpur programs aim to provide a flexible completion duration of one to three years, catering to various schedules and combining live interactive classes delivered primarily on weekends with self-paced study.
Each program will have a 60-credit, 12-module curriculum designed to meet industry demands. IIT Kanpur faculty and researchers will lead these programs, contributing their knowledge to stimulate real-world application.
Candidates can use the credit transfer feature to potentially waive up to 60 credits for future higher education (MTech/PhD) pursuits at IIT Kanpur.
The programs will also provide participants with access to IIT Kanpur's placement and incubation cells, as well as its wide alumni network, increasing their career development and networking prospects. Candidates will get the opportunity to visit IIT Kanpur's campus, network with prominent faculty members, and engage with seasoned professionals, eventually earning the prestigious IIT Kanpur alumni status, according to an institute release.
At the convocation, the eMasters program at IIT Kanpur will award senate-approved eMasters degrees rather than diplomas or certificates.
