Description
The government has approved the initiative to establish 100 new Sainik schools in collaboration with NGOs, private institutions, and state governments. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has sanctioned the establishment of 23 additional sainik schools through collaboration.
Beginning with Class 6, the schools will be organized in a graded manner. The Sainik Schools Society has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoA) with 19 new Sainik Schools around the country as part of this program.
As a result of this initiative, the total number of Sainik Schools in partnership mode has expanded from 42. There are also 33 existing Sainik Schools that continue to operate on the previous model.

The new Sainik Schools will be run by the Sainik Schools Society. They are affiliated with respective education boards and will adhere to the society's laws and regulations for new sainik schools in partnership mode.
Schools will have Academic PLUS curriculum based on the sainik school pattern in addition to their usual associated board curriculum. The official website, contains information about the schools.
