The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) issued a notice to warn against fake allotment letters for NEET counselling. The notice released regarding this reads “MCC is in receipt of an ALLOTMENT Letter issued to the candidate. In this regard, it is informed that the allotment letter is fake and the signatures of the concerned officer along with phone numbers and email IDs are fake.”
The notice pdf further states that the MCC of DGHS allots seats to students based on merit and preferences entered by them through software that can only be downloaded by those candidates who have been assigned NEET UG seats.
NEET UG Counselling 2023 Fake Allotment Letter Notice
MCC of DGHS allots seats to candidates based on merit and choices entered into MCC software, which can only be downloaded by successful candidates from the MCC website.
The MCC does not distribute seats based on nominations. The MCC of DGHS again reiterates that no letters are issued. Candidates who have been assigned seats by MCC must download provisional allotment letters from the MCC website and report to the colleges to which they have been assigned. As a result, they should be wary of any correspondence issued on MCC's behalf about seat allocation.
Candidates should be cautious of fake agents and should complete all registration activities on the website themselves rather than hiring agents to do so.
The registration password should not be shared with anybody.
Candidates should be wary of bogus websites because MCC does not host any websites other than mcc.nic.in.
Any fake website/agent should be notified to MCC promptly, and the candidate should file a FIR for such problems.
