Description
The deadline for online registration for the Common Admission Test (CAT 2023) is on September 13. On the official website, candidates can apply for the management entrance exam. The test is being administered this year by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow.
On October 25, IIM Lucknow will release CAT 2023 admit cards. The entrance exam is set for November 26 in three sessions throughout 155 test cities.
Candidates having a bachelor's degree and at least 50% or comparable CGPA can apply for the exam. The minimum needed marks for the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories are 45 percent.
For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the application fee for IIM CAT 2023 is Rupees1,200. The application fee for all other candidates is Rupees 2,400.
According to the announced timeline, CAT results will most likely be released in the second week of January 2024. CAT scores will be valid till December 31, 2024.
Candidates who pass the CAT must apply for admission to each university separately because there is no centralized counselling process.
Furthermore, simply passing the test does not guarantee admission because they may be required to participate in additional screening rounds at the institute level.
