Description
The Tamil Nadu government is scheduled to start the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Thittam, the largest social welfare initiative aimed at delivering monthly financial support, in a ground-breaking step. Over 1.06 crore eligible women who are the heads of their families will benefit from this scheme.
ATM Cards And Direct Bank Transfers
Eligible participants would get a monthly payment of Rs 1,000 under this scheme. This cash assistance will be deposited immediately into the beneficiaries' bank accounts. ATM cards will be supplied to qualified women to facilitate easy access to the funds, allowing them to withdraw the assigned amount as needed.
Announcement From The Chief Minister
On September 11, Chief Minister M K Stalin formally launched this big endeavor. He emphasized the program's primary features, which include direct transfers of payments into users' bank accounts and the distribution of ATM cards. The scheme will be launched on September 15, which is also the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister C N Annadurai.
Implementation And Monitoring
Chief Minister M K Stalin underlined the significance of proper implementation in a virtual evaluation of the plan. He asked Chief Secretary Shiv Das Meena to direct district collectors to closely supervise the implementation of the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Thittam to ensure that it reaches its designated recipients as quickly as possible.
Communication With Beneficiaries
The government will use SMS notifications to keep beneficiaries informed and updated about the programme, ensuring that eligible women receive timely information about the program and any necessary revisions.
Acceptance Of The Application
According to the chief minister, 1.06 crore of the approximately 1.63 crore applications filed for the plan have been accepted. This indicates the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Thittam's considerable reach and impact in assisting women family heads throughout Tamil Nadu.
