The Finance Industry Development Council (FIDC) managing committee chose Mr. Umesh Revankar, who currently serves as the Executive Vice Chairman for Shriram Finance Limited, as the next Chairman of FIDC in a meeting held in Mumbai. Umesh Revankar's career in the financial services industry began in 1987 as an executive trainee with Shriram Group. He has risen through the corporate ranks, assuming diverse responsibilities and critical leadership roles in business operations. His significant contributions have helped Shriram Transport Finance become India's largest commercial vehicle financer.
Revankar's Diverse Roles and Achievements Outside of Shriram Finance Limited
In addition to his considerable contributions to Shriram Finance Limited, Revankar serves as a Director for several firms in the Shriram Group. Shriram Automall India Limited, Shriram General Insurance, and Shriram Life Insurance are among them. His academic credentials are as remarkable, with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in finance from Mangalore University. He polished his talents further by taking part in an Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School.
Kamlesh Gandhi and K.V. Srinivasan Join FIDC as Co-Chairmen
Kamlesh Gandhi, CMD of MAS Financial Services Limited, and K.V. Srinivasan, CEO and WTD of Profectus Capital Private Limited, have been appointed as Co-chairmen of FIDC to supplement Umesh Revankar's leadership.
