The government of Uttar Pradesh, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has decided not to raise fees at private Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) for the academic year 2023-24. The pricing structure remains unchanged from the announcement in 2018, with the decision centered in respecting the difficulties faced by many parents throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
The UP government stated that, “the government had kept the standard fee for the private industrial training institutes fixed for the year 2018 at status quo. In the current session also, it has been decided to continue the fees of private ITIs fixed in the year 2018.”
UP ITI Fee Fixation Proposal
The CMO also stated that the fee fixation plan would be available by April 2024. According to Kapil Dev Agarwal, the minister of state for Skill Development and Vocational Training (Independent Charge), these significant reliefs have been provided to students and their parents who plan to pursue a career in vocational education on the orders of the chief minister.
Abhishek Singh, special secretary of the vocational education department, has issued the requisite mandate in this regard. He has also directed the Director of Training and Employment, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, to make the fee fixing proposal for the forthcoming session 2024-25 accessible by April 2024.
