  • Inauguration: The first Indian national flag, embellished with red, yellow, and green hues, was unfurled on August 7, 1906, at Kolkata's Parsee Bagan Square.

  • Resolution in Tricolor: In 1931, the tricolor flag was adopted as a predecessor to the current design, with saffron, white, and green colors with Mahatma Gandhi's spinning wheel at its center.
