Description

The Ministry implemented the "Naya Savera" scheme, also known as the "Free Coaching and Allied" scheme, to provide extra preparation for qualifying exams for students and candidates from the six minority communities, including Sikh, Jain, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, and Muslim.

The coaching period under the scheme ranged from 3 months to 2 years.

Objectives Of The Naya Savera Scheme

The scheme's main goals are to give students from the recognized minority communities specialized tutoring in the following areas:

  • Getting ready for entrance exams for technical/professional programs including engineering, medicine, law, management, computer technology, etc., as well as language and aptitude tests necessary for applying to overseas colleges.

  • Helping with entrance exams for jobs in the Group "A," "B," and "C" services as well as other posts with the Central and State Governments that are equal to those positions, such as those in public sector organizations, banks, insurance companies, and autonomous bodies.

Empowering Minority Communities Through Free Coaching And Allied Programs Since 2007

On July 17th, 2007, the 'Free Coaching and Allied Scheme' for candidates from minority backgrounds was launched. The Naya Savera Scheme (also known as the 'Free Coaching and Allied' scheme) has benefited over 1.19 lakh people since its commencement. Among them were 12,155 beneficiaries from the state of Andhra Pradesh.

The Ministry Of Minority Affairs

On January 29, 2006, the Ministry of Minority Affairs was founded as a separate body from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. The ministry addresses the interests and concerns of the recognised minority populations, which include Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, Parsis, and Jain.

The Ministry's key responsibilities include the establishment of comprehensive policies, strategic planning, coordination, evaluation, and revision of regulatory frameworks, and the implementation of development initiatives aimed at uplifting and benefiting minority communities.
