Description

The National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) application form for class 8 students has been released. Candidates must have a minimum of 55% in class 7 to be eligible to apply. They can register by going to the official website. The exam will be held on December 10, 2023, according to the official schedule.

The Chhattisgarh National Means Cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) is given to meritorious students from the state's economically weaker sections (EWS) who are in Class 8. The scholarship provides an excellent chance for students from EWS families to pursue higher education. There will be 146 exam centers across the state, and there will be no application fee. The application form must be submitted by September 8.

Eligibility Criteria For Chhattisgarh NMMS Scholarship 2023

• Candidate must be studying in a government or government-aided school.

• Candidate must have secured at least 55% marks in Class 7.

• Candidate should be from a family with an annual gross income of less than Rupees 3.5 lakh.

• Candidate should be a member of an SC/ST, in which case they will need to have secured at least 50% marks in Class 7.

Chhattisgarh NMMS Scholarship 2023 Exam Pattern

The scholarship exam comprises two papers, Paper 1 will run from 10:00 am to 11:30 am whereas Paper 2 will be held between 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.

From Class 9 to 12, candidate who are selected for the scholarship will get Rupees 1,000 every month. They will also be eligible for any other grant available through the government's scholarship program.

Candidates enrolled in Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, non-government institutions, or residential schools are not eligible to apply.
