NEET UG Counselling 2023: NMC Judges Medical Colleges On Crucial Parameters

NMC evaluated the colleges based on a variety of criteria, including physical faculty verification, aadhar-based biometric attendance, and a few more. The colleges were found to be eligible. As a result, they were granted a 5-year extension of recognition.

Following rigorous physical verification and other tasks, the NMC gave Assam Medical College recognition. During the practical exams on April 3, 2023, they conducted a digital assessment of Assam Medical College and Hospital. The commission also served a notice on the Assam Medical College, requesting information about vacancies in the ENT department. The College attempted to reconcile the disparities.

The official notification reads, “After taking into account all the facts and the submissions made by the Principal, AMHC, the 1st Appeal Committee unanimously decided to grant Continuation of Recognition of 170 MBBS degree seats to the Medical College for five years The Principal AMCH, Guwahati accepted the decision of the 1st Appeal Committee.

NMC also questioned Guwahati Medical College and Hospital about faculty members' attendance not being recorded on aadhar-based biometrics. According to the college principal, 434 of 475 registered users have marked attendance in AEBAS. The commission also accorded recognition to Guwahati Medical College after considering various other factors.
